THE GOSPEL
What is Christianity all about? What is the "Gospel"? How can I know God?What is faith?
Some people think that faith in God is like getting on an airplane.
(Gotta trust the pilot to get us off the ground. And back on the ground. All in one piece)
Some people think that faith in God is more like jumping out of an airplane.
(I hope my parachute opens! I REALLT REALLY REALLY hope my parachute opens!)
What does the word faith mean to you?
- Having faith means…
- Believing in Jesus Christ;
- Having a relationship with God through Jesus;
- Trusting Christ to take control of your life;
- Taking God at His Word and doing what He says, even when you don’t understand it all;
- Taking a journey that begins when you accept Jesus as your Savior and that continues until you see Him face to face in heaven.
Faith is all of those and even more! Look at a famous definition of faith right out of God’s Word, the Bible: Faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen (Hebrews 11:1)
How Can You Experience This Kind of FAITH?

Heaven
Here—John 10:10 “I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly”
Hereafter—John 14:3 “And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also” |
