Byron Stewart

Lead Pastor

Byron has been serving as Lead Pastor at Alpine since the church’s early days. Before coming to Sugarcreek, he pastored for 13 years in Ontario, Canada, and earlier in Lynchburg, Virginia. With more than 40 years of ministry experience and training from Liberty University, Byron continues to faithfully shepherd our church family. He and his wife, Marilyn, have two grown children and are proud grandparents to seven grandchildren.

David Greene

Associate pastor

David joined Alpine in 2013 to serve in Student Ministries and stepped into the role of full-time Student Ministries Pastor in 2015. Today, he serves as our Associate Pastor, guiding a variety of family ministries and leading our Next Gen outreach in local schools. He studied at Liberty University’s School of Divinity and is continuing his education at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. David and his wife, Jen, are raising one son and four daughters.
